Heretics and Lovers will be entering a Battle of the Bands competition for a chance to play at this years 2000 Trees Festival. The BOTB will be taking place at The Frog And Fiddle on April 24th with the final taking place on May 8th.

The festival itself takes place on the 16th and 17th of July. Headlining the Friday is Frank Turner and headlining the Saturday is The Subways other acts include – And So I Watch You From Afar, Errors, Crazy Arm, The Xcerts, Twin Atlantic, Jim Lockey and The Solemn Sun plus loads more. Angelfest III (aka Mincesaurcefest) is a 15 hour free music festival, hosted at the Angel Hotel featuring a range of the best talent located in the Forest of Dean and surronding areas. I had a nice suprise the other evening, I came home and found that the guys from The Peppermint Hunting lodge, had created a music video for I Like To Gamble! The video is a collection of clips of them Recording at Sawmills and Traveling around the UK. It is really nicely put together, despite some minor frame issues. We will be releaseing Heretics and Lovers – Lungfish EP on March 15th. This is the first release since ‘Prayers To An Empty Sky’ and following on from the major changes that happened to the band in 2009. Lungfish will feature 3 brand new tracks from the band coming to over  20 mins of Epic Post-Rock noise. Heretics had spent the last months of 2009 recording the EP with the help of a couple of friends. We will be giving more details of its release in the near future.
